Kihei is in South Maui, the
sunniest, driest section of the island. When it's raining at
Ka'anapali Beach and Lahaina in West Maui, it's probably a
wonderful beach day in Kihei.
Kihei has restaurants for any budget, cafés, supermarkets, shops and easy access to one of Maui's few highways, so you're a short drive from the airport and popular tourist destinations. It has a casual ambiance and a relaxed pace.
Why Maui Banyan?
This section of Kihei gets less wind than beach areas just a mile or two to the north, and if you're new to Hawaiian shores, it's smart to swim at the sandy Kamaole Beach II, where lifeguards sit on duty seven days a week.
Our condo is a mere one-minute walk to the
beach. In fact, at night or early morning, you may hear the waves
as you lie in bed. The condo complex as a whole is
attractive and peaceful. Right out the door of our unit is a
sizeable shaded, grassy area with a BBQ grill and picnic table that
feels quite private and is suitable for reading a book, playing
with the kids or hosting a family reunion.

Just three minutes up the road you'll find four restaurants - a Mexican place, steak/burgers, a bistro and deli. Within a 10-minute walk in a lively shopping plaza are seven more - Hawaiian (featured once on the Travel Channel!), Indian, Thai, natural food, pizza, tacos and steak/seafood. (Indeed, so convenient is the location that some of our guests have managed quite well without a rental car.) Luxurious spas and world-class golf are a short drive away, and there's even a three-times-a-week yoga class you can walk to.

Our two-bedroom air-conditioned condo affords ample
space for a family of up to six, or two couples, to comfortably spread
out and enjoy a thrifty vacation. It's on the ground floor, so
you'll never have to lug stuff up a bunch of stairs or wait for an
You get a master bedroom with a plush new king bed, living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes, rice cooker, toaster, coffee maker, silverware and even utensils for the outdoor grill included, while the second bedroom has two new double beds. The unit includes a washer/dryer, two full bathrooms, adjacent to each of the bedrooms, and two shaded lanais (patios), each with table and chairs.
There is a door between the second bedroom and the kitchen/living room that you can close to create privacy for the parents, kids or a second couple. The main bedroom has a ceiling fan and TV, and the living room sofa opens up for extra sleeping space. (If you need a crib for an infant, we'll tell you where you can rent one.)
Included is a generous allotment of beach equipment: beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel sets, pails and shovels for kids, and beach towels. Maximum occupancy: six people (or eight if two kids or teens are willing to sleep on the pull-out couch).
If you've brought your laptop, you can access free wi-fi inside the room or outdoors. There are 70+ cable channels. And let's not forget the spectacular sunsets when you take a few steps outside before dinner.
Our units are listed on VRBO, AirBNB and Trip Advisor (with good reviews), but if you rent from us directly, you do not need to pay any "booking fee," which saves you $90 - $400 or more. In addition, you do not need to pay the $25/day "amenity fee" some others charge - yet you have access to all amenities.

Prices and Policies
For the 2-bedroom unit:
$279/night (minimum of 7 nights)
December 15, 2021 - January 2, 2022: $299/night (minimum of 14 nights)
December 15, 2022 - January 2, 2023: $299/night (minimum of 14 nights)
Plus a one-time cleaning fee of $190 and 17.42% Hawaii and Maui taxes
Parking is free, available for one car only.
Prices above are for up to six people; add $10/night extra for
each of a seventh or eighth person.
Once confirmed, your rate will not change.
Half of your total amount owed is due within 2 days of your booking. The
remainder is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival (60 days for

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival (60 days prior to arrival for Christmastime bookings) will receive a complete refund minus a $100 handling fee. Otherwise, cancellations or changes in your length of stay receive no refund. See below for special Covid-19 policies.

How to Reserve Our Unit
Please first check the availability calendar below to determine whether or not your dates are available. If they are, then reserve your preferred dates by doing both of the following:
1) Pay a reservation deposit of $100 using the link below, filling in the dates of your stay where indicated. The reservation deposit is fully refundable for 4 days, except when you make reservations less than 30 days in advance, in which case it is non-refundable.

2) Send us an email indicating the dates of your reservation and the number of people, along with your complete address, telephone number(s) and email address. You'll receive a personal reply within 12 hours.
We apply your $100 reservation deposit to the 50% that is due within 4 days after you make the booking.
