The Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu is a must visit place for the kids. This can be a great educational excursion for them. The 40 minute tram tour will stop in the market. 

The Ka'eleku Caverns is an excellent place to explore the lava tubes and kids may find it extremely joyful. Closed toe shoes, long pants with full sleeved shirts, gloves, water, snacks and other safety equipments will be supplied.

It is a 3 hour drive from Maui resorts to the top of Haleakala. Kids should be protected with sunscreen before going to the top of Haleakala. Closed toe shoes, pants, hats, sunglasses are very important.
